On a cold day in February when the world was covered in ice, my Troubadour and our friend, Chadwick, ventured out to explore a cave that is over 400 million years old! Cave of the Mounds is stunning, with gorgeous cave formations that are still growing today! This National Natural Landmark stays at a steady 50 degrees C all year round, even when Wisconsin's unpredictable weather drops in the negative. When we had our fill of stalactites, stalagmites, and sheets of flowstone, we headed to the Grump Troll for a 1.5-pound pretzel and ALL of their beer. It was a great day of learning, laughs, and fun.
